While Kirk was responding to a question about transgender involvement in shootings, a gunshot suddenly rang out.
Witnesses said that as soon as the shot was fired, โeveryone hit the deck and scattered.โ People screamed, ducked to the ground, and many rushed toward the exits for safety.
Some initially thought it was a firework or a confetti popper, but within seconds it became clear that it was a real gun.
